Two sculptures by Constantine Andreou were offered in FauveParis’s Vente hors-série #556 — Art contemporain grec, held on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at 49 rue Saint-Sabin, Paris. The announced start time was 14:00; the auction house did not specify a time zone. When checked on 17 October 2026, FauveParis’s lot pages reported both works as sold.
Lot 240 — Entre ciel et terre
FauveParis describes Entre ciel et terre as a unique, signed sculpture in welded brass with a green patina. Its dimensions, converted from the inches given in the listing, are approximately 44.1 cm high × 20.0 cm wide × 22.9 cm deep. No date is given.
An undated brass work with this title appears in Sappho Mortaki’s catalogue at 23 × 20 × 43 cm. The dimensions are close when their order is taken into account, but they are not identical. The comparison suggests a probable catalogue match, although several works share the title and the identity of the physical object remains unconfirmed.
Lot 241 — Danse, 1965
The house lists Danse, dated 1965, as a unique, signed, and dated sculpture in welded brass. The converted dimensions are approximately 33.0 cm high × 18.1 cm wide × 25.1 cm deep.
Mortaki records a work titled Danse, dated 1965, measuring 33 × 18 × 25 cm. The close agreement of title, date, and dimensions suggests a possible catalogue match, but the identification remains provisional. The welded-brass description comes from FauveParis; Mortaki’s entry does not specify the medium.
Documentation
Both FauveParis lot entries state that the works are reproduced on p. 125 of Andreou, Chemin parcouru (Association des amis de Constantin Andréou, La Ville-du-Bois, 2002).
The catalogue comparisons above refer to the appendix to Sappho Mortaki’s 2010 doctoral thesis: no. 705, p. 32, for Entre ciel et terre, and no. 340, p. 20, for Danse.
Neither auction listing states provenance. Historical references to the artist’s collection do not establish present ownership or provenance. The house’s sale reports do not establish settlement, buyer identity, ownership transfer, or provenance.
